This 60 – 90-minute event will include:

  • 1 glass of sparkling wine during reception before meal (10 – 15 minutes)
  • A basic overview of the principals of wine production (10 minutes prior to meal)
  • A tutored tasting of 3 wines selected specifically to pair with the meal (3 – 5 minutes for each wine with each course)
  • A basic overview of the principles of wine and food pairing (5 – 10 minutes at the end of the meal)
  • Q&A after the meal

All this will take place during a lunch. The introduction to the principles of wine production will take place just before the first course is served. Each wine and food pairing will be discussed during the meal. Would need a three-course meal – small plates – for which I would present a different wine for each.

Carl Knows Wine would provide:

  • One sparkling wine for reception and three still wines for meal
  • The benefit of Carl’s knowledge gained through over 20 years of experience and study
  • Tasting notebook for each participant

You would provide:

  • Venue, tables and chairs
  • Catered or self-catered meal – I would need to know the menu at least 10 days in advance to plan wine purchases
  • Screen to show AV presentation
